Aliens, The Godfather Part II, The Empire Strikes Back, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Mad Max 2 and Evil Dead II are just examples of the sequel eclipsing the original. This is not just better, it pisses all over it.
The Joker is one crazy mutha fucka and one of the most memorable and iconic villains in the history of cinema. The Dark Knight is not just a great super hero film it is a quality crime film. The opening scene is like a deleted scene from Michael Mann's Heat.
It doesn't get much better.
