A review of The Dark Knight, at long last. And here we..go:

The Dark Knight represents the pinnacle of superhero/comic book films. It's an amazing film thanks in large part to Christopher Nolan's direction ultimately improving over the already spectacular Batman Begins. There's never a dull moment, regardless of circumstances. Every actor does a great job of portraying the character. And what type of person would I be if I didn't acknowledge Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker? Every time the Joker is on screen, he never ceases to entertain because he's just a really great villain. May Heath Ledger rest in peace. Most people claim that is an epic crime thriller that just happens to have Batman in it and that's not even a bad thing. Well, guess what? I agree. The action is intense yet still awesome. Never has any one of Batman's personalised motorcycles, in this case entitled the Batpod, looked this inviting. The Dark Knight is one of those films in which the villain seems to gain a better advantage than the hero, in fact the most memorable lines come out of the Joker's mouth. It ends flawlessly. Not happy but flawless, in a way. Helps foreshadow a possible third part, which we got 4 years later with The Dark Knight Rises. I wonder if it's as bad as anything which isn't a review aggregator says it is. I'll probably disagree since the said review aggregators are some of my most trusted comrades. At least we'll always have this film. I'd definitely add this on my Top 10 list of comic book movies set outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Congratulations, Nolan.
