Review of The Dark Half (1993) by Aaron M — 11 Aug 2009
Just another poorly handled SK adaptation: sometimes interesting, occasionally creepy but mostly boring and bland. Like King's any other work, it has more than enough twists and dark feeling, but what it lacks is the psychological dimension necessary for the story of a man who has buried his alter ego until it would grow into a full-size, serial-killing doppelganger.
Just a sad story of unique idea wasted by the routine treatment.
