Review of The Dark Crystal (1982) by Amanda H — 06 Oct 2010

I saw this as a kid and hated it. Watched it again today for the first time in many years, and I'm still not completely sold. It's incredibly impressive for its time, of course, but plot-wise, it's just not really my thing.

I can appreciate its huge cult following and I completely understand why so many people love it, but it just doesn't appeal to me all that much. It was worth seeing again because I understood it so much better as an adult, but I wouldn't be tempted to watch it again any time soon.
