Review of The Dark Crystal (1982) by Jane J — 20 Oct 2018
I remember as a young child seeing this in the theater. It is a very haunting and scary film for a child. The amazing set design and incredible detail of the puppets is what made it so real. Seeing it all these years later I am still in awe of the technical mastery of the film.
No CGI could even touch the detail and work that went creating this film. As one reviewer mentioned, the script is underdeveloped. The main character is lacking depth. Despite this, the film will always be a tour de force of creative genius.
