Review of The Dark Corner (1946) by Zombie M — 25 Nov 2009
A good Noir with Lucille Ball in a somewhat serious role. A little light on the hardboiled cliche's but that's up to you to decide if it's a good thing or not. Unfortunately, the twists that were in this movie have been played out way too many times in the past 60+ years, so they don't even register as surprises anymore.
This seems to have better production value than most movies of the 1940's even though there is some lingering stiff and quick-lipped acting.
