Review of The Darjeeling Limited (2007) by Steven C — 01 Dec 2010
Is "The Darjeeling Limited" self indulgent? Yes. Is "The Darjeeling Limited" overly obvious? Yes. Is "The Darjeeling Limited" technically well constructed? Yes. By now this seems very routine for Wes Anderson, but it is his most mature film, which makes it seems overly simplistic but also grounded.
Not terrible but not required viewing either. Adrien Brody is a standout and a scene where the three brothers rescue a trio of children from a river is well done.
