Eddie Redmayne spoils this beautifully photographed film with terrible acting. Or perhaps the script fails; unfortunately subverting transgender understanding. But wasted are the wonderful photography, costumes and art direction.
Thumbs down for this predicable fluff of a tragedy. It simply screams Oscar bait too loudly.
