Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Drew M — 22 Dec 2015
This movie is very sad, intense, and depressing, but from a film making point of view it's a beautifully well made film. Beautifully well directed by the great Tom Hooper and has quite a musical score.
The main reason to see this film is the unbelievable and unforgettable performance from Eddie Redmayne. He is so believable and goes through quite the transformation from a happily married man to a pretty women named Lili Elbe.
Eddie is quite a powerhouse and is guaranteed a second Academy Award nomination(Maybe even a second win.). Alicia Vikiander also delivers quite an emotional performance and there's no doubt she'll not be nominated as well.
Overall it's well shot and is quite a fascinating story. I have to admit though it;s not a film you'd watch over and over. My grade=88%(B+).
