Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Josh A — 23 Dec 2015
'The Danish Girl' has great performances and a sad, touching ending. I just wish these movies were not so drippy, safe, staid and sleepy. The performances make this better. Eddie Redmayne's lead character is shallowly written, a little too dreamy and one note.
The power here comes from Alicia Vikander. You know you are watching the new face of stardom and greatness in acting whenever she is on screen. With this and 'Ex Machina', we might get two Oscar nominations in one year!
