Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Sophia . — 27 Dec 2015

I found this film incredibly difficult to watch, but not for the reasons some would think. I felt the pain of all three focus characters; Gerda, Lili and Einar, as though it was my own. The love Gerda exhibits for her husband is one more powerful and touching than almost every fictional love I have ever read- she forces me to reconsider believing in true love.

I will be haunted by the struggle that is consistently evident in this movie and even more so I will be forever changed by the truth I now know and have come to understand. The characters feel real to me and will remain with me for a long time.

This film is definitely a must see for anyone who wants to open their mind, to learn about love and sacrifice. Actually this film is a must see for everyone.love.
