Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Barry T — 01 Jan 2016

The 2nd film of the year. I went into this half hearted and it ended up being a bit of a wispy waspish wet squib. Vandker is the best thing in it but Redmayne struggles in the title role. He is far too coquettish when he plays Lily and some of the scenes are laughable.

I didn't really feel like I discovered that much about Lilys life. Copenhagen looks nice but the insipid direction and muted scenes don't help the story.
