Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Alistair L — 04 Jan 2016
Eddie Redmayne delivers another Oscar worthy performance, and Alicia Vikander is equally watchable - Tom Hooper directs well with some beautiful location filming around Copenhagen and the stunning Vigra Island, in Norway .
.. it starts out playfully as Einar dresses up and poses for his wifes paintings, but slips further into the persona of his alter ego, Lili. Well balanced without making it heavy going, the audience in a packed cinema clearly enjoyed the film, so yahboo sucks to the naysayers - it turned out a delightful film, even if the ending is ultimately a sad one.
