Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Matheus C — 12 Jan 2016
A beautifully shot film with great performances from its two leads. The Danish Girl is an interesting look at a transgender person in a time when no one believed them to be anymore then mentally ill. The film may have played it safe with its colourful palette and focusing on understanding and sympathetic characters instead of exploring darker themes and more cruel persons.
Nevertheless, The Danish Girl was made as an easy watch for viewers not so familiar with the LGBT community and could hopefully enlighten some people.
