Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Timothy A — 29 Jan 2016
An ode to Tom Hooper's love of symmetry and large empty rooms. The leads do their best (especially Vikander) but it's as cold as it is beautiful. Takes the truncation of narrative to fit the confines of a feature film to unheard of heights, some people take longer to decide whether they fancy a cup of tea than it takes Redmayne to agree to untested and risky surgery on his junk.
