Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Julie U — 30 Jan 2016
The Danish Girl review by me of course:).
I did not know very much about what the film was about before I watched it and if you don't know much about it either it is to your benefit to go in with a blank canvas and let this wonderfully crafted film unfold in front of your eyes. I will not touch on specifics about the story only to tell you that it is masterful in the story telling, superbly acted and the cinematography is nothing short of breathtaking in each and every scene. I laughed, I cried, I was full of sadness and utter joy all at once. I left this movie knowing this is the film of the year 2015 in my opinion and will most definitely be up for Best Picture and if the main actors Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander do not get nominated for Oscars, if not win with a landslide for this film I would be shocked. All in all this film was a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Go see it! xoxoxoxo.
