Review of The Danish Girl (2015) by Ching L — 29 Feb 2016
Absolutely stunning cinematography, with scenes that reminds one of Degas, Vermeer and great impressionist artists. Beautiful use of colours and light, delicate and dream-like.
The acting is of course superb. With the compelling performance from Eddie Redmayne showing great internal conflict and the mannerisms, absolutely terrific. Great chemistry between Eddie and Alicia.
Pace is slow but compelling, sleepily artful take on a controversial theme.
Loved it!
