Review of The Dancer Upstairs (2002) by Nicolaus B — 23 Sep 2007
Javier Bardem looks like a Picaso Minotaur in this unconventional and arty film about a abjured lawyer turned deeply principled cop who must reconcile his personal life with his political outlook, as do we all.
What was especially amazing was how this film was shot in an unnamed Latin American country where everyone spoke ESL and it somehow managed to work and not seem contrived.
