Good English soccer movie, the story of Brian Clough's short stint as Leeds manager in 1974, events and intrigues leading to it, and the aftermath. Even if you're not interested in soccer you'll enjoy the themes involved - blind ambition, rivalry, management skill, teamwork.
Script and direction are great. The time-jumps are a perfect vehicle for the story, and the director does not overdo the soccer scenes.
Probably the best thing about the movie is the acting of Michael Sheen. He was great as David Frost in Frost-Nixon and here he is even better. He absolutely inhabits the character of Brian Clough and proves that he is one of the great character-actors of this generation.
