Rewatch. A fictional account of Brian Clough's 44 day reign of Leeds United. David Peace's fact based on fiction book is a lot darker and as with this type of writing controversial. The film makes Clough a lot likeable and completely tones down his drinking, and focuses on his relationship with Peter Taylor.
Sheen is one of cinemas greatest character actors and his performance as Clough is up there with Williams, Blair and Frost. Colm Meaney is also excellent as Don Revie.
