When I was going to watch this movie, I hadn't read the book yet. But I've heard from my friends and reviews about all the hype and controversy that has occured from the book. I myself find the movie quite satisfying and I enjoyed the little twists and turns the story take.
MacKellen was superb in my opinion. I've liked him more and more with the few films I've seen him in. Anyway, this movie is kinda controversial. But watching it with an open mind helps a lot.
