Review of The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) by Nerine D — 20 Jul 2010
A lovely classic old movie... Scary more for what it doesn't show rather than the gory bits you do end up seeing. Great for having going in the background although stylistically it's slow-moving and there are plot holes big enough to drive a Hummer through.
"Perhaps we'd better start at the beginning," should be familiar to loads of White Zombie fans out there.
Peter Cushing teamed with Christopher Lee is magic, and although not a brilliant piece of cinema, this movie is still important to see if you consider yourself a horror nut.
