Review of The Crying Game (1992) by Dan K — 08 Mar 2013
If the movie wasn't such a colassal snooze-fest, maybe I could understand the "classic" label associated with this film. The friendship between the IRA volunteer and the British soldier was more captivating than the relationship that was supposed to build the entire premise of the film.
The unexpected plot twist is only shocking when examined as a novelty of its time. The only bright spot to this bore is the fable of the Scorpion and the Frog. If you are in need of a good nap, add this to your movie list, otherwise stay far away.
