Rebecca, The Crying Game and the original 1932 version of Scarface. All of them were really good films, I really recommend The Crying Game if you haven't seen it..

I also watched Metropolis which is a silent black and white film from 1927, it was bloody great. Obviously amusing as it's so old and some of the effects are laughable by todays standards, but some look great and it's hard to believe that it's from 80 years ago, it does begger belief.

I seem to have watch more films in the last month than I had done for ages, which I suppose is a good thing since I'm studying Film Journalism.I especially recommend 2001: A Space Odyssey, I have never witnessed anything like it, the musical score to it is just fantastic. It is quite impossible to explain to you what happens as it's down to what you think. There are definately lots of mortal connotations, all about life and death, I'm currently reading the book which explains in more detail.

Also, the other night I and Kyle watched The Acid House, which is again another unusual film. It's written by Irvine Welsh, the same guy that did Trainspotting, which is also amazing, and another good book, even if it is writted in Scottish, can be quite tiresome to get through. The Acid House though is great, it starts off with a guy who gets dumped by his girlfriend and then sacked from his job... Not a good day at all. He then meets God in the pub and if I say anymore I will spoil the film. My favourite bit though was Coco Fuckin' Bryce getting breast fed..
