Review of The Crying Game (1992) by Chase R — 15 Aug 2010
A great movie, with one of the greatest twist in the history of film. I don't want to tell you much about the story of this film for those of you have not watched it yet, because the audience needs to experience all the twist and turns of this film as they along with it. The only thing I will tell about the story is that involves the IRA and it has a romance.
The Stephen Rea, Forest Whitaker, Miranda Richardson, and Jaye Davidson performances are all great. However the real star of this film is Niel Jordan, the Writer/Director. He creates suspense, romance, and surprise in a very daring way. He also creates a beautiful story with a theme about unconditional love. Jordan's Screenplay manage to get him an Oscar. The film was also nominated for Best Picture too.
The Crying Game is a great film that everyone must see.
