Review of The Crush (1993) by G L — 10 Aug 2016
This movie is pretty trashy and uncomfortable at times, though that's probably to be expected with this kind of plot. It could have at least done without the long, gratuitous swimsuit/body shots. That aside, the acting on Alicia's part was incredibly good, she was extremely convincing without overacting.
It's a shame Cary's character forgot about the existance of hotels. Or the fact that his girlfriend/co-worker must live somewhere. So many plotholes! Overall, an odd and fairly predictable film, though I have to say I wasn't expecting the bizarre and frankly ridiculous fight scene climax.
I laughed so much at that, it earned the movie another star. Unintentionally hilarious!
