Review of The Cruel Sea (1953) by Lyle R — 09 Jun 2008
One of the greatest war movies ever made and certainly one of the most realistic. Much of the terminology, equipment and action performed by the actors is spot on, yet the story conveys the harshness of serving in The Battle of the Atlantic without any of the rah-rah patriotism or propaganda.
