Review of The Crucible (1996) by Gavin D — 18 Oct 2012
With the film come many of the play's same problems, (mostly centered on the female characters, who Miller always had a problem writing). On top of that, I don't think this version accurately translates many of the original play's more effective material, like the few final scenes which seem drained of their potential dramatic impact.
