This was pretty much your run of the mill, typical movie story about a guy struggling to make it in new york whilst thinking he is above everyone only to be humbled by tragedy. maybe an original concept at the time, just sort of predictable.
that being said, it was done right. it was funny, had it's high and lows and had interesting characters. I liked it.
