Review of The Crow: City of Angels (1996) by Baurushan J — 28 Apr 2012

After the successful-as-hell "THE CROW" starring the late Brandon Lee, we then got a sequel somehow because the first movie was so much better! Anyway you know in the first movie when in the beginning it is said that when a soul dies wrongfully, the mystical crow brings back the soul to "set the wrong things right" meaning that to bring the life back to seek vengeance upon their killer.

So in this story, Ashe Corven played by Vincent Perez who is a motorcycle mechanic is murdered after witnessing a murder along with his son. He later rises from the dead and dons on the crow suit and the make-up provided by Sarah who is now played by Mia Kirshner whereas in the first movie she was played by Rochelle Davis helps her to fight his enemies and so does his guiding mystical crow.

SPOILERS ALERT: The only actor I noticed in this movie is The Punisher himself Thomas Jane who plays one of the baddies himself named Nemo (no not Finding Nemo) and plus Sarah gets killed off at the end which means that the next two sequels after this will have nothing to do with the first two movies and all the characters are are abandoned except for the crow itself and the formula and structure of the first film which is carried onto the next two sequels.

Although this is not a bad sequel, it does deliver a decent dark fantasizing flick. The Crow: City of Angels gets a 6.5/10.
