Review of The Crossing Guard (1995) by Steph H — 27 Nov 2007
Laughably bad, yet strangely compelling. Penn manages to pull bad performances out of even the great Anjelica Huston. Nicholson is fairly solid as usual - Roger Ebert pointed out that his character's alcoholism is the key to the movie.
Another reviewer points out that the final scene is entirely fitting, as Morse and Nicholson should have been holding hands and crying with relief to see the end of this bomb.
