Review of The Crash Reel (2013) by Robert W — 26 Jul 2013
For me, I really couldn't care less about snowboarding. So when nothing was on, I reluctantly changed the channel to the Crash Reel for background noise. But when it came on, I ended up procrastinating my summer reading and watching this documentary.
What I found was not only an extremely well made movie, but an inspirational, heart-warming, and unexpected story. From the start to the end, I was completely held hostage.
I was moved in so many ways by the fight Kevin Pierce had to live and to be active, but also the care and love of his family. What was also quiet inspiring was the stories of others who were not as lucky as Kevin, and their stories.
The Crash Reel is likely to capture any viewer from beginning to start, and then some. I would gladly watch it again, and recommend this to EVERYONE without hesitation.
