Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Sylvain F — 17 Oct 2008
Really well made, deep film about an artist/criminal put in a position where helping his enemies could cost the lives of millions but not helping would cost the lives of all his "co-workers" including himself.
The movie flows well and it is not as somber and depressing as Prisoner of Paradise was. The cast is great, the music is great, the dialogue is great... It's a big production and it's worthy of it's oscar.
But when it comes to trying something new or pushing the envelop, it doesn't do anything that hasn't been done before.
