Review of The Counterfeiters (2007) by Alita M — 28 Aug 2010
A pretty damn good foreign, historical drama/thriller. It could be just me, but typically I find foreign films tend to move at a very slow pace, but this one kept with the timing. It's rough around the edges, but overall found the interpretation of the Nazi camps to be much more gruesome when you see how quickly favoritism can be the deciding factor between death or living like a slum.
Interesting insight, too, into how easily Nazi Germany could have recovered and spread their terror even further.
