Review of The Corporation (2003) by Timothy R — 08 Feb 2008
Boring editorial on how you should hate corporations. It's entirely one sided and shouldn't be taken too seriously. I saw this on my second date with my girlfriend, now wife, and despite a few interesting statements, we felt like it was an attempt to brainwash us.
Trust me, I'm not a huge fan of corporations, but I don't need to be preached to by people who obviously want to make me hate them. It's obvious within the first couple of minutes that this film has an agenda, and then you can only sit back as they hit you over the head for the next 2 hours with their one sided arguments.
Sure there are terrible corporations out there, but that doesn't meant they're all bad. That's like saying that you know a terrible man, so all men are terrible. Too bad, it would be interesting to see a real documentary on the state of corporations in North America today, the good with the bad.
