Review of The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989) by Marissa K — 23 Dec 2008
This one may not be easy for everyone to sit through, but it is a feast for the senses, in most scenes. Every set is richly designed and textured, every action is carefully devised and executed. The sets and costumes are opulent and structured, in short it's a night at the opera, on the couch.
If you can get your hands on a copy and you're in the mood for something truly disturbing, this might whet your appetite.
