Review of The Conversation (1974) by Tanner A — 08 Nov 2011
Coppola's masterpiece is a prophetic film about paranoia, the growing role of technology in our daily lives, and the impossibility of privacy even in public spaces. Its a disturbing (especially the complex sound design) and brilliantly haunting thriller with Hackman doing justice to his character.
