Review of The Conversation (1974) by Jessica B — 25 Oct 2010
I came into this film as a Coppolla and Hackman virgin (as embarrassing as that is to admit) and I can honestly say I am left with the urge to watch every film these respective geniuses have made. The film is chilling and incredibly intense but it is unique from other films because of it's incredible impact on the viewer: it's the once in a lifetime film that scares the audience on a personal level and yet also left me with a profound desire to create something of my own, be it a novel, film etc.
In a word the creativity of this film is inspiring.
