Why do only film buffs remember this masterpiece, which won the Palme d'Or in Cannes in 1974 ? it was Coppola's peak, when (within the same year) he also won loads of oscars for The Godfather II and only a year or four later also the Palme d'Or for Apocalypse Now; those were truly the golden days of American moviemaking !!!
