Review of The Conversation (1974) by Steven M — 16 Jul 2010
An almost fantastic film badly let down by plotholes and technical errors. That Coppola thought he could get away with changing the intonation on the critical taped sentence and completely flip the storyline is an insult.
The Conversation should be applauded for the performances, the mood, the music but cannot be deemed narratively sound at all.
