Fascinating and entertaining small budget film. Starts slowly yet builds in intensity throughout. Hackman is superb. The directing by Coppola is excellent. The screen play a gem. Wonderful music. Small roles by Cindy Williams, Harrison Ford, Robert Duvall and Teri Gar. Nominated for three Oscars including Best Picture, Best Editing and Best Original Screenplay. Both Coppola and Hackman have said that this is their favorite film on which they have worked.
