Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Peter P — 30 Nov 2010
This film has captured my soul and mind through it's amazing vision and cinematography in this intense masterpiece of the film. I can easily say this film is in my top 20 of my top favorite films. The complexity of the conspiracy and the passionate love that Ralph Fiennes has for his wife endures the pain and suffering toward the audience in a greatly directed film.
I double applaud the acting of each cast member in this film and especially to Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes. What fine acting and probably best there was in this decade. This film should have won best picture in 2005 and beaten Crash.
The emotions and intense spirals toward the story develop really grab your heart and you can't wait to find out what will happen next. The ending just crushes and breaks every inch of the audience down for you didn't want it to happen.
The pace of the film was perfect with the great story mapping of flash backs and present action coinciding. Overall, this film is a modern classic and a beautiful picture all round.
