Thriller about a low level British diplomat who wants to find out why his radical wife was killed and ends up caught in the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. Meirelles' follow up to City of God is much more demanding and much harder to follow with its wide use of flashbacks, however, the ending is rewarding and the performances are ace.
