Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Joe H — 29 Jan 2013
A good but not great political thriller, The Constant Gardener starts interestingly enough, but then plays out in a long, slow-paced manner for the next thirty or forty minutes. It does speed up a bit after this, but by then I had lost much of my interest.
The performances are good from both Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz, especially Fiennes. If you can withstand the overly long exposition at the beginning, The Constant Gardener makes for a relatively entertaining film.
Only a lukewarm recommendation from me though.
