Critics complained that this movie felt too much like a history lesson. That it was dull. Director Robert Redford creates a stunning historical film that will leave movie goers pleased. Robin Wright Penn gives an amazing performance as Mary Surratt, the woman accused and Hung for conspiring in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.
Although the film is slow at times, it does leave an impact on the viewer.
