Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Jeffrey P — 24 Nov 2011
While the costumes are spot and Robin Wright Penn does a stunning performance, Kevin Klein does look like Edwin Stanton as does the actor whom play Lewis Payne/Powell, it lacks in overall conviction. The manners and customs of the time period are NOT represented (a woman of class would NEVER have asked a gentleman to dance, much less showed up to a man's residence).
It's a shame, because the movie had so much potential.
