Review of The Conjuring (2013) by Tubey — 03 Aug 2013
The Conjuring has genuinely terrifying set piece moments, is decently shot and can by no means be described as a bad film. However, it falls into the trap that oh so many horrors before it has done by relying on excessive loud noise and hackneyed clichés to maintain attention throughout.
For these reasons, it cannot be placed in the upper echelons of horror movie classics, but it does deserve a solid place in the second tier.
