Review of The Conjuring (2013) by Stephen B — 23 Jan 2015
Another masterpiece created by James Wan (the first one being Insidious). This film's plot is well structured from beginning to end and is chock-full of high-quality and well-placed scares. The acting is also quite good, with star performances from Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, and each member of the Perron family.
The scares are quite terrifying and can sometimes really catch the viewer off-guard. A tense and downright creepy atmosphere also immensely add to the films effectiveness. A great plot and well-placed scares makes The Conjuring another great ode to the horror genre.
Can hardly wait for the sequel.
