Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Panayiota K — 19 Aug 2017
SPOILERS AHEAD.
Much better than the first one.I love Lorraine and Ed, there are awesome characters. And the story had some interesting effects and points, I have never seen a thriller where the parents believe the children and actually leave the fucking house. Despite these, the story was really disappointing. They kept throwing scary elements without any background. What was the point of the old man and the crooked man (who looked like a Tim Burton character btw)? Who is the nun? She was supposed to be the most powerful demon and Lorraine just told a name and she went away, so anticlimactic. How did they know Janet had a gift and she wasn't just possessed? Even the vision of Ed's death was different that what actually happened.
