First off, let me admit that "The Conjuring" was one of my favourite horror movies of all time, and actually left me shaking the theatre. "The Conjuring 2" however, didn't give me that effect, but still succeeded in making the movie intense, scary, and invigorating.

Although the plot isn't the most original thing ever, and it seems like every horror movie deals with possessions and demons, this worked in this movie, because the way James Wan lets the movie play out makes it extremely intense and horrifying.

The acting from the Conjuring cast is once again great; the chemistry between Vera Farmiga (Lorraine Warren) and Patrick Stewart (Ed Warren) is unbelievable, and it's only been two movies and it feels like they've done a whole movie saga together.

You can tell this is a Conjuring movie, because it has that touch with the jump scares; they aren't just a quick startle, they actually include disturbing and horrific images that are actually scary in itself, making the jump scare terrifying, I actually jumped in one of them.

A major issue I had with this movie, however, was the rushed plot, the ending seemed to have just quickly wrapped up, and didn't really explain anything too in depth on the backstories on the demons and ghosts, which is more shown in the first Conjuring.

In the end, "The Conjuring 2" isn't as good as its original, but still provides a captivating horror movie, that is worth watching if you're bored.
